Vacancy - Electrical Engineer

 

Are you excited by the opportunity to build upon your skills and experience whilst performing an integral role maintaining the operation of the Port? Do you have previous experience maintaining heavy plant and equipment?  We are seeking an Electrical Engineer at Humber Bulk Terminal to help to ensure the Port operates safely and efficiently!

Your Role

 

In this role you will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner. You will be proactive in your approach to preventative maintenance, reporting all faults and defects in a timely manner and ensuring all electrical/maintenance equipment is compliant with current standards and legislation.

 

You will be needed to fault find breakdown and performance issues, resolving unplanned failures safely and in a timely manner to meet operational targets, proposing tactical solutions to ensure activities stay on schedule.

What you'll bring

 

  • You will have previous experience maintaining heavy plant and machinery in a heavy industrial environment with a strong understanding of AC & DC drives and their control systems.
  • You will be used to working effectively as part of a team in a critical and busy environment, as well as excellent fault finding skills, and demonstrate safe working practices.
  • You be qualified to ONC/OND level in Electrical Engineering will be a working AP(LV)
  • You will demonstrate commitment to maintaining Peel Ports Health and Safety standards and ensure Health and Safety is at the forefront of all activities.
  • A full UK driving licence is also required.
