Your role

 

You will carry out ship’s agency operations, which include attending vessels in the Humber Port area to liaise with Masters, officers, and crew regarding loading, discharging, and port call activities.

 

Communicating daily prior, during and after a vessels port call with clients, vessels, port authorities, and suppliers to ensure smooth coordination of all operational requirements.

 

Prepare, present, and process cargo and vessel documentation, including collecting and managing ship’s voyage related documentation and maintaining accurate electronic and physical records.

 

Provide on-site assistance to ensure efficient vessel turnaround and a high standard of service delivery.

 

Work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours shifts, to meet the needs of the business (compensated by flexible working arrangements and a weekend shift allowance).

 

Undertake additional or ad hoc duties as required to support agency, terminal operations and client requirements.

What you'll bring

 

You will have a port agency/logistics background with the proven ability to solve problems that arise within the industry we are working within whilst promoting excellent communication and people skills.

 

You will be working closely within a team but also have the ability to work solo.

 

A desire to make a difference and a  ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to develop skills on the job and through qualification.
