Dock Operatives

Are you seeking a practical, hands-on role in an essential industry, where safety, teamwork and development are at the heart of what we do?  We are seeking Dock Operatives to join our container terminal team at the Port of Dublin, where we will support you to build your skills, gain valuable experience and progress your career in a role that makes a real difference every day.

Your role

As a Dock Operative, you will play a vital role in keeping our terminal running safely and efficiently. Working as part of a supportive team that helps move containerised goods for customers and communities. You will be trained to operate a variety of ground based plant (Shunt, Empty Container Handler, Reach stacker), followed by vertical plant as required (STS and CRMG cranes),carry out pre-checks on plant, machinery and equipment prior to commencing operations, reporting any damages and defects without delay.

What you’ll bring

You will have:

  • previous experience operating plant and equipment;
  • the ability to solve problems and deliver appropriate solutions to drive forward the operation;
  • strong team skills;
  • a full Irish driving licence.
