Are you seeking a role in which you coordinate the end to end logistics operations?  Are you excited by the opportunity to  facilitate the clearance of goods through customs and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.  We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Peel Ports Logistics team at Ellesmere Port, and help us keep the world moving!  This role is initially a six month fixed term contract.

Your role

 

In this role you will ensure the accurate preparation, dispatch, and delivery of a variety of cargos from multiple locations, maintaining correct documentation and process compliance.  You will communicate promptly and effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.

 

You will calculate shipping and delivery costs precisely, preparing and distributing all essential shipping documents and information.  Liaising with the Head of Logistics, you will ensure both weekly and monthly invoices are completed accordingly, ensuring they are submitted error free in a timely manner, and ‘right first time’.  You will strategically plan, secure quotes, and provide comprehensive multimodal services that fulfil client needs efficiently and cost effectively.

What you'll bring

 

You will have previous experience in Freight Forwarding for both Import and Export operations. You will have knowledge of customs documentation and procedures, with familiarity of Bills of Lading, including House (HBL) and Master (MBL) types.  You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.

 

You will have excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.  You will hold a full valid UK driving licence and access to a car as travel may be required within the role.
