Finance Business Partner (12-month FTC)
Do you thrive on turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insight? Are you motivated by partnering with operational leaders to drive real business performance? Would you enjoy playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of Clydeport within the wider Peel Ports Group? We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the team at Clydeport on a 12-month FTC.
Your role
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll take ownership of the financial performance of several Clydeport business units, ensuring accurate reporting, provide insightful analysis, and support decision making. You’ll work closely with business unit managers, commercial assistants and other functions, validate key financial transactions, and provide the clarity and confidence the business needs to make commercial decisions.
In this role, you’ll act as the go‑to finance expert for Business Unit Managers, supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, performance reporting, and decision making, while also coordinating seamlessly with the Group Management Accounts team. You’ll champion continuous improvement, contribute to cross‑functional projects, and help strengthen financial control across Clydeport.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact, this is your opportunity to step into a role where your expertise truly drives results. The role also provides a unique opportunity to enhance your commercial finance and soft skills.
What you'll bring
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll bring a blend of sharp analytical thinking and confident communication, able to turn complex financial data into clear insights that guide decision making across the business.
Your collaborative approach will help you build strong relationships with commercial assistants, Business Unit Managers, Group Finance colleagues and those in other functions, while your meticulous attention to detail ensures performance reporting is accurate and reliable.
With experience in a finance role, ideally in a multi‑site or complex environment, and progress toward or a complete recognised accounting qualification, you’ll be proactive, adaptable, and ready to solve problems before they escalate.
