Vacancy - Marine Operations Manager
Are you seeking an opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of marine activities within one of the UKs most strategically important ports? Do you have a strong understanding of marine regulations, operational planning and a pro-active approach to problem solving? We are seeking a Marine Operations Manager to join our team in Great Yarmouth, and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
In this role you will oversee vessel movements, pilotage, berthing, marine services and management of the port launches. You will work closely with the marine management team, shipping agents and regulatory authorities. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of marine activities throughout the Port of Great Yarmouth.
You will help maintain high operational standards, supporting commercial growth and safeguard our reputation as a reliable gateway for offshore energy, cargo and maritime trade.
What you'll bring
You will have strong knowledge of UK Port legislation, Port Marine Safety Code, and relevant IMO standards, alongside:

- Previous experience leading marine operational teams
- Strong operational planning and coordination skills
- Experience implementing and enforcing marine safety management systems and emergency response plans
- Previous budget and resource management responsibility
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
