Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Operations Department based at the Port of Clydeport.

 

Role Purpose: To drive top line growth across all business units in the Clydeport Cluster in line with annual financial targets and business plan direction.

 

This role will include the following responsibilities:

 

- Identify, prioritise, pursue and successfully convert Port cluster opportunities from targeted markets and both new and existing customers

- Secure new business opportunities by building awareness of the Clydeport Cluster capabilities and actively engaging with the target audience

- Monitor performance against plan, developing corrective action strategies to address shortfalls

Work closely with Marketing to develop campaigns to support sales initiatives

Negotiate pricing, contractual terms and SLAs with customers, ensuring all agreements are correctly contracted and signed

Continually refine and implement commercially sound growth plans

Ensure the CRM is kept up to date at all times

 

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

 

- Ability to demonstrate significant experience of front line B2B sales

- Experience presenting complex propositions and financial analysis at board level

- Commercial awareness alongside a strategic mindset

- Excellent communication skills and adept at working across different functions and cultures within the organisation

- Strong understanding of local market and customer requirements and local competitor positions to drive service offer and commercial proposals

- Knowledge and experience of developing and delivering a sales pipeline

- Previous experience of selling services and upselling at mid to senior management levels with customers
