Vacancy - Marine Administrator

 

Are you seeking a role in which you can provide administrative support to a fast paced marine department?  Are you excited by the opportunity to develop your administrative skills whilst gaining an understanding of the marine world?  We are seeking a Marine Administrator to join our team at the Port of Greenock and help us keep the world moving!

Your role

 

In this role you will work closely with the Marine management team across Marine Services, Pilotage and Marine Compliance.  You will raise invoices, prepare purchase orders and control stock levels of uniform, PPE and office equipment, processing deliveries for the Marine department.  You will administer the Pilotage Exemption Scheme, and manage the departments physical records and digital filing structure in line with the Marine Safety Management System, along with maintenance of the Clydeport and Ardrossan Marine sections on the PPG website.

 

You will organise and attend committee and stakeholder meetings, on site and away, supporting with the production of meeting papers, presentations and taking minutes. 

What you'll bring

 

You will have experience in an administrative role, ideally gained in a fast paced environment.  With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.  You will have strong computer skills, experience with SAP and Sharepoint would be beneficial.

 

You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.  You must have a full valid driving licence.
