Responsibilities

 

The Terminal Team Leader role, within the Port Operations Department, will work within a team to carry out operational duties effectively, efficiently and in a safe manner.

 

Responsibilities will also include:

 

- Support a team of Terminal Operatives and all associated administrative tasks.

- Supervise and assist customers with vessel pre-planning to ensure effective operations.

- Supervise vessel operations.

- Liaise and work closely with Line Managers throughout the shift.

- Ensure all terminal housekeeping tasks are performed.

- Record and report all damages, incidents, accidents and hazard observations.

- Assist the Terminal Manager in creating and maintaining an appropriate and safe terminal traffic plan.

- Ensure that an effective and efficient labour distribution is achieved, providing the highest levels of service to customers.

 

 

Skills and Experience

 

 -Previous experience of RoRo operations.

- Tug Master and Forklift license required.

- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.

- Previous knowledge of Health and Safety ideal.

- Previous supervisory experience is desired.

- GCSE’s Grade C or above, or equivalent, in Mathematics and English.

- Full valid Driving License.
