Are you keen to play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flagship steel terminal?  Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and expertise to support you in developing your career across the wider business?  We’re seeking Automation and Delivery Operatives to join our team.

Your Role

In this role you will ensure the safe and efficient handling of steel coil from vessel discharge to our state of the art automated steel shed and ultimately onto hauliers’ trucks for delivery.  You will support discharge and coordination of stock into storage, contributing to space planning and stock management using automated systems. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance efficiency and minimise delays.

What you'll bring

You will have:

• IT literacy, including experience of using excel and other Microsoft Office tools;
• A commitment to safety, efficiency and continuous improvement;
• Ideally experience operating gantry cranes, heavy plant and inventory management systems and knowledge of automated logistics environments.
