Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Containers Department based at the Port of Liverpool.

 

Role Purpose: To provide Sales and Commercial Support and co-ordination to the Container Division.  Supporting the Head of Commercial to manage and develop accounts and customer base.

 

 

This role will include the following responsibilities:

 

- Conduct existing customer analysis, providing support and regular communication

- Offer insight into key opportunities and challenges faced by the business

- Support individuals within the Container Division with commercial and analytical support when required

- Gather relevant information required by Senior management to support decision making

- Update CRM systems with meeting developments and possibilities

- Create presentations on market analysis for delivery externally and internally

- Identify synergy potential between supply chains and other services within the group

- Account management of customers and databases

- Sales calls with customers to develop accounts

 

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

 

- Ability to comprehend datasets and reach conclusions or recommendations

- Ability to document findings from multiple sources into a form which is understood by non-subject matter experts

- Strong attention to detail in structuring and writing reports

- Ability to identify risks and opportunities from market analysis

- Working knowledge of building business cases and familiarity with financial terminology

- Advanced use of Excel for manipulating data and reporting

- Container experience is preferred, although not essential
