Vacancy - Facilities and Contract Management Support Engineer
Are you excited by an opportunity to further develop your expertise in facilities management and building services with the second largest port and logistics organisation in the UK? We are seeking a Facilities and Contract Management Support Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diverse infrastructure of significant scale across the Port of Liverpool and Manchester Ship Canal.
Your role
Joining a small, dedicated team you will ensure that the buildings, areas and services across our operation are serviced and maintained to allow our colleagues and customers to operate effectively in a fast paced, critical working environment.
You will be the first point of contact for Facilities and Contract Management issues, collaborating with contractors and suppliers to plan, coordinate and execute planned maintenance and repairs, including electrical, mechanical and structural requirements. You will maintain safety, quality, environmental and statutory compliance requirements to a high standard, conducting regular reviews and managing performance to ensure agreed KPIs are achieved.
What you'll bring
You will have:
- Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally in a facilities management or building services environment, including HFAC
- Proven experience managing the work of sub-contractors and teams to ensure efficient and effective operations
- The ability to prioritise and organise your work in a busy environment
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- IOSH Safety qualification
- Asbestos Awareness
- A full UK driving licence
