We’re seeking a Group IT Network Engineer, to join our team, where you will be encouraged to make a real difference, supporting all aspects of our network.

 

Your Role

 

In this role you will support, maintain and upgrade the network for all Ports across our Group.  You will be based at the Port of Liverpool but with an opportunity for occasional travel to other locations to support the enhancement of our networks.

 

Working with senior engineers, who will support, coach and develop you, you will play a role in configuring Cisco networks, ensuring the network is working effectively to maximise system availability, stability and performance for users across both office and operational locations.

 

What you'll bring

 

You will:

 

  • An understanding of Cisco and HP platforms, as well as network fundamentals within virtualisation
  • Have experience working with and configuring firewalls, such as Fortigate;
  • Be a team player with experience of working with internal customers;

 

You will ideally:

 

  • Have experience working with Aruba and/or Cisco Wi-Fi technologies;
  • Have an understanding of or exposure to Azure networking and fibre optics;
  • Have CCNA certification or be working towards it.
