Service Desk Analyst, Liverpool

 

Are you seeking a role in which you can develop your skills and experience?  Are you excited by the opportunity to provide excellent service to our end users, ensuring challenges are resolved quickly and effectively using a variety of channels?  We are seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join our team at the Port of Liverpool, and help us keep the world moving!

Your Role

 

In this role you will support end users with IT queries.  You will investigate and provide solutions for issues raised from calls to the service desk from either internal or external sources, via telephone or email,  escalating where appropriate to 2nd and 3rd line support. Using the call logging system, you will be responsible for ensuring all relevant information is recorded.

 

You will manage calls, recognising when an issue is not readily resolvable and taking the appropriate steps to escalate the problem, allowing for a resolution to be found.  You will produce clear specifications relating to user problems that ensure timely and efficient solutions, using your initiative to ensure all questions surrounding an issue have been covered.

What you’ll bring

 

You will have previous experience working within a fast paced IT department, ideally in a first line response role, alongside:

 

  • Knowledge of MS Windows Server, MS Office 365, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, Airwatch and MS Hyper-V, 
  • An understanding of ITIL principles would be advantageous.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise own workload whilst working in a fast paced environment. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, you will have the ability to build strong working relationships. Willing and able to work shifts between 07.00 and 18.00
