We are looking for a Lead Operations Trainer to join our team in Liverpool, and help us keep the world moving through exceptional training delivery!
Your role
In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for leading and enhancing our operational training across the Mersey Division. Working with over 100 operatives, your primary objective is to ensure our teams, including third-party labour, are trained to the highest safety and competency standards.
You will manage our in-house trainer, shape and deliver a comprehensive training plan, conduct audits, and work closely with our Safety and Operational teams to maintain compliance. You’ll also personally deliver hands-on training sessions, ensuring every operative is equipped with the skills they need to work efficiently and safely.
What you'll bring
You will hold a recognised training or instructor qualification (NPORS preferred, RTITB also considered) with significant experience delivering training in a high-risk operational or logistics environment. You will have a strong knowledge of plant and equipment training and relevant safety standards, and experience leading a training function, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring compliance.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with strong IT proficiency. Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH) is also strongly desirable.
