Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Mersey Department, based at the Port of Liverpool.

 

Role Purpose: To provide support and PA services to the Port Director (Mersey) and to provide additional administrative support to the EHS Project Team.

 

 

This role will include the following responsibilities:

 

- Provide support to the Port Director (Mersey), including diary management, report writing, presentation collation and minute taking

- Prepare and edit reports and presentations, build time tables, prepare agendas, collate board and executive papers and distribute as appropriate

- Deal with all incoming calls and emails, acting as the first point of contact for the Port Director

- Organise all internal and external meetings using Microsoft Outlook, create and circulate agendas, papers and documents for each meeting

- Provide general administrative support to the EHS team as and when required

- Arrange travel and ensure full itineraries are produced prior to departure

 

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

 

- 5 A*-C GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English

- Previous PA and Administration experience at Senior level in a fast moving environment

- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage and prioritise workload on a day-to-day basis

- A positive and flexible approach to working hours

- Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint is essential within the role

- Effective liaison with internal and external clients

- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion at all times

- Highly effective communication skills
