Are you a dedicated payroll professional with previous experience in a fast paced environment? Are you excited by the opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring weekly payroll is processed efficiently and correctly with a right first time approach? We are seeking a Payroll Analyst for our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving! This role is a Fixed Term Contract.
Your Role
In this role you will process weekly payroll with a right first time approach. You will ensure all hours and absences are imported correctly from Time and Attendance systems to the payroll system, performing checks and correcting any discrepancies ahead of running payroll. You will analyse pre-payroll reports, reconciling discrepancies ahead of preparing final payroll authorisation.
You will liaise with the wider payroll team to ensure weekly payroll information, including overtime and flexible benefit adjustments are submitted error free. You will also provide support to monthly payroll as and when required. Monitoring the weekly payroll mailbox, you will ensure all emails are responded to in a timely manner.
What you'll bring
You will have previous experience working in payroll, ideally processing weekly pay. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment. You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including in Maths and English.
With excellent communication skills, you will be able to build strong working relationships across the business. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
