Role Purpose: To respond promptly to all weekly and monthly payroll related queries within agreed Service Level Agreements.  The Payroll Manager should actively manage both weekly and monthly payroll activity whilst providing efficient support and guidance to the wider administration team, ensuring a professional and compliant approach at all times.



This role will include the following responsibilities:


- Processing of Monthly (UK & ROI) and Weekly payrolls with a right 1st time approach

- Compile payroll information by managing payroll preparation; completing reports and maintaining records

- Reconciling the payroll accounts and resolving any payroll discrepancies that may occur

- Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department/division transfers

- Identifying and responding to payroll queries in a timely manner

- Liaising with shared service team and HR Transactional Services Manager to ensure all payroll actions are processed ahead of submissions

- Completing End of Year procedures including P11d, P60, EPS reconciliations

- Continuous improvement of the payroll system and testing updates and tickets as and when required



Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:


- Practical experience working with internal payroll systems

- A good understanding of SAP SuccessFactors

- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and an understanding of best practices

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional attitude maintained at all times

- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment

- Excellent attention to detail
