Payroll and Benefits Analyst
Are you a dedicated payroll professional with previous experience in a fast-paced environment? Are you excited by the opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring monthly payroll is processed efficiently and correctly? Do you have experience in managing and administering employee benefits? We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Analyst to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
In this role you will process end-to-end monthly payroll with accuracy and a right first-time approach. You will be committed to providing reliable, on-time, and accurate monthly salary payments, performing checks and correcting any discrepancies ahead of running payroll. You will analyse pre-payroll reports, reconciling discrepancies ahead of preparing final payroll authorisation.
You will liaise with the wider payroll team to ensure monthly payroll information, including overtime and flexible benefit adjustments are submitted correctly. You will also provide support to the weekly payroll as and when required.
You will administer employee benefits and flexible benefits, managing relationships with benefits and systems providers. You will provide support to employees on queries relating to employee benefits.
What you'll bring
You will have proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with good knowledge of payroll legislation. You will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment. You will have meticulous accuracy when handling confidential data and solving complex payroll queries.
You will have a Charted Institute of Payroll (CIPP) qualification. You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including in Maths and English.
With excellent communication skills, you will be able to build strong working relationships across the business. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and previous SAP experience would be an advantage.
