Are you seeking a role in which you can play a key role in delivering Capex Projects across multiple locations?  Are you excited by the opportunity to manage the commercial elements of a variety of multi-million pound projects?  We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!

 

Your Role

 

In this role you will work closely with Project Managers, Contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will manage contract negotiations and procurement, administering contractual terms and agreements, including NEC and other forms of contract.

 

You will prepare and present financial reports to the project team and senior management, conducting cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs.  Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and suppliers, you will attend client meetings and provide updates on projects financial status.  You will assist the Commercial Manager with monthly commercial reporting, inc. CFR reporting, risk and budget control.

What you'll bring

 

With a strong Civil Engineering/Construction background, you will have previous experience with NEC form of contract.  You will have experience as the commercial lead for several large scale capital projects at any one time.  You will demonstrate a commitment to relevant Construction Health and Safety regulations and best practice, as well as an awareness of procurement and contract administration processes.

 

You will ideally hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) accredited by RICS in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related construction subject.  With excellent interpersonal skills you will be able to build and manage strong working relationships at all levels. 

 

You will hold a full valid driving licence with the ability to travel to other locations across the UK and Ireland when required.
