Receptionist (Part-Time)

 

Are you excited by the opportunity to work in a fast paced, varied environment? Do you want to work for one of the UKs leading Port operators?  We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our team in Liverpool on a 12 month FTC and help us keep the world moving!  This FTC role is a job share working on a part time basis, Monday to Friday afternoons.

Your Role

 

In this role you will meet and greet visitors and ensure they are received by the relevant department and follow all Company procedures.  Screening all incoming calls, you will forward calls onto the appropriate department extension number or email address. You will also provide efficient administrative support to various departments as required to agreed timescales. 

 

 

You will handle all postal tasks, including sorting and stamping, to ensure outgoing post is ready for collection by Royal Mail each day and incoming post is sorted into departments for collection within two hours of receipt. You will order standard stationery items for departments and create appropriate purchase orders.

 

 

You will make regular visual checks to ensure the offices are well presented and any issues are logged for action.  Handling a range of queries, you will communicate at all levels in a positive and professional manner.

What You'll Bring

 

 

You will have previous office administration experience, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to build strong working relationships. 

 

 

With excellent organisational skills, you will be able to manage a wide range of tasks concurrently whilst maintaining a positive and professional approach. You will have strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office) and previous experience with digital telephone exchange.

 

 

Whilst this position is Part Time, there will be a requirement to work full time to cover sickness/holidays as this is a job share.
