Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Human Resources Department based at the Port of Liverpool.

 

Role Purpose: To provide support to the HR Transactional Services Manager and the HR Payroll team in relation to weekly and monthly payroll.  In addition, you will support with any system changes and testing whilst providing efficient support to the wider payroll team, ensuring a professional and compliant approach at all times.

 

This role will include the following responsibilities:

 

Processing of monthly (UK & ROI) and weekly payrolls, ensuring a right 1st time approach

- Support with SAP System changes and testing

- Support Payroll Administrators with SAP queries

- Reconciling the payroll reports and resolving any payroll discrepancies that may occur

- Identifying and responding to payroll queries in a timely manner

- Support with compiling monthly and weekly reports for the Executive team and business as a whole

- Compiling payroll information by managing payroll preparation; completing reports and maintaining records

- Liaising with payroll team and HR Transactional Services Manager to ensure all payroll actions are processed ahead of submissions

Analysing pre-payroll reports and reconciling discrepancies ahead of preparing final payroll authorisation

 

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

 

- A strong working knowledge of SAP (ideally SuccessFactors) is essential

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload to meet deadlines

Practical knowledge of current payroll legislation and ability to perform manual payroll calculations when required

- Able to use your initiative to solve problems and escalate anything of higher importance to the HR Transactional Services Manager

Able to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment

- Able to follow strict procedures to ensure Peel Ports Group meet internal and external compliance standards

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to discuss complex matters at all levels and provide a professional service 

- Ability to troubleshoot system discrepancies and resolve successfully
