Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Containers Department based at the Port of Liverpool.

 

Role Purpose: To support the Supply Chain strategy and assist with ensuring the delivery teams have the correct parts, materials and equipment to provide maximum asset uptime and availability.

 

This role will include the following responsibilities:

 

- Liaise with Delivery Managers and Stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure equipment uptime targets are consistently met within the Containers Business Unit

- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and courteous relationship at all times with internal and external customers

- Maintain accurate stock control and to accurately and efficiently record goods delivered into the stock control system

- Assist in the delivery of regular stock takes

- Liaise with stores personnel on a daily basis to determine priorities, ensure KPIs are met and to advise of any shortage and/or ordering issues which may impact delivery of the plan

- Update CMMS (SAP EAM) in a timely manner

- Daily collection/delivery to local sites

- Ensure Stores environment is maintained in a clean and tidy manner

 

Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:

 

- Experience of working in a Stores facility within quality controlled environments

- An understanding of the need for and commitment to maintaining asset critical supply chains, JIT, consignment stocking, Kanban

- Prior experience in inventory control

- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Systems

- Knowledge of H&S legislation such as COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, EaWR, PSSR, Asbestos management and BS7121

- Previous experience of using SAP

- Ability to manage large workloads and prioritise work accordingly
