Lead Administrator – 6-month FTC

Do you have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and keeping operations running smoothly? Would you like to take on a key role where you are at the heart of terminal activities, building strong relationships with customers, hauliers and colleagues every day?

We are seeking a Lead Administrator to join our team on a six-month FTC and help keep the world moving!

Your Role

As Administration Lead, you will be the primary point of contact for operational administration across the terminal, ensuring customer queries are handled efficiently and professionally. You will be responsible for overseeing weighbridge operations, processing documentation accurately, maintaining records, and supporting the smooth flow of information between customers, visitors, drivers and site teams.

You will be responsible for producing and maintaining key operational reports, monitoring compliance with site procedures and industry regulations, and supporting safe and efficient terminal operations. You will also oversee data accuracy, track performance metrics, resolve operational issues, and deliver a consistently professional and customer-focused service across the site.

This role is mainly Monday to Friday, but candidates must be flexible and available to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet business requirements.

What you'll bring

You will have experience in a customer-focused administrative role and be confident communicating with customers, hauliers, visitors and colleagues. You will be organised, adaptable and proactive, with the ability to manage changing priorities and support day-to-day operations. Experience with Commtrac V4 or similar systems is advantageous.

You will have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, along with excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential, while knowledge of food products, food safety, waste regulations and bulk handling operations is highly desirable. A full UK driving licence is essential.
